What does Global Fishing Watch do?
GFW’s mission as a not-for-profit NGO is to, "to create and publicly share knowledge about human activity at sea to enable fair and sustainable use of our ocean ".
As Fisheries Compliance Training Manager, I contribute to developing training resources, and travel to developing countries to assist with capacity building in fisheries monitoring - all in an effort to help to detect, deter and prevent illegal fishing activities. The friendly and varied community.
How do you like to spend your time outside of work?
You’ll likely find me at the gym (where I’m also a casual instructor), or out and about starting to explore the many hiking opportunities this region has to offer.
